Prerequisites : Computer Intro or equivalent experience.

Objectives: When you finish this course, you should be able to:

Name and describe the graphic components of the Windows Desktop

Describe the structure and name the  parts of a window.

Open and modify the shape and size of a window on the Desktop

Open and arrange multiple windows.

Create, name, save, move, copy, and delete files.

Use some of the Windows accessories and applications

Start Windows

Describe the Windows Desktop:  Wallpaper, Icons, the Taskbar, the Start button, and Shortcut Menus

Work with Windows

Open a window, Name the parts of a window, Maximize, minimize, restore, and close a window, change the size of a window, use scroll bars, and move a window.

Open multiple windows, select an active window, display open windows in a variety of configurations.

Create and Manage Files

Create, name, rename, and save a file; copy data between programs; move and copy files; delete a file and use the Recycle Bin; create shortcut icons

Use Windows Explorer to manage files

Use special utilities and applications in the Start Menu such as Help, Search, Run, and Control Panel
