Prerequisites:
All of the following (or equivalent experience):
- Computer Intro (or Intro to Personal Computers 101 and 102)
- Windows 1 (or Windows 101)
- Windows 2 (or Windows 102 Files and Folders)
Have loaded on your computer (or use on the lab computer) Family Tree Maker 2006 or higher. You can purchase it any place that sells software, or you can order it from familytreemaker.com. Consult the instructor if you need help loading FTM software. Practice entering data before coming to class.
Class content:
- Set up software
- Enter your family data and documentation
- Use inter net sources to extend your family lines and locate additional records
- Learn how prepare reports, scrapbooks, multimedia presentations to share with your family.
