Compiling and Printing Your Genealogy
Two, 2-hour classes

Prerequisites:
All of the following (or equivalent experience):
- Computer Intro (or Intro to Personal Computers 101 and 102)
- Windows 1 (or Windows 101)
- Windows 2 (or Windows 102 Files and Folders)
A minimum of 200 people in your genealogy program.
Intended Audience:
This is a class for those who want to learn how to prepare a personal genealogy to share with others. It is not about how to do research or for those who use a Mac.
Performance Objectives:
After completing this course you should be able to:
- Create a GEDCOM file from your data.
- Open the GEDCOM in another genealogy software program
- Create a Register style report that opens in a word processor
- Use the word processor to insert photos, graphics, and narratives, and to create an index.
- Print a book or booklet to share with others.
Note:.
Bring to class a CD, disk or memory stick with a copy of your genealogy data file from Family Tree Maker, Legacy, Personal Ancestral File, Generations or some other PC genealogy program.
