Objectives:

When you finish this course, you should be able to use your GPS to find cities, restaurants, and places of interest and navigate a simulated route with turn by turn navigation.

The course will be taught in two 2-hour sessions.

First session

PowerPoint Presentation showing:

Screens and features of a Garmin 2720 Automotive GPS

Setup of each feature

How to find cities, restaurants, and places of interest

How to find addresses and intersections and save your own favorite destinations

How to choose a GPS to purchase.

An actual GPS navigation of a simulated route with turn by turn verbal navigation.

Second session

Workshop.  Students will be guided in using their own GPS’s to perform the activities demonstrated in the first session. will be to do the features on those units. All brands are welcome.
