DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As Computer Club Historian, documents and archives all significant events and milestones pertaining to the Club. Through interviews with charter members and record research, reconstructs the historical record of the Club, as necessary. May utilize a variety of media in preserving the Club history, including but not limited to paper documents, still photographs, videography, newspaper articles, and electronic files. May coordinate and oversee the work of assistants performing a variety of duties involving the collection and preservation of historical records.
REPORTS TO: Organizationally located under the Immediate Past President, the Historian accomplished tasks on own initiative, and receives policy guidance and direction from the Executive Board.
QUALIFICATIONS: Skill in gathering and recording information from a variety of sources. Ability to organize and present materials in an accurate and efficient manner. Communication skills and “meet and deal” capabilities.
