Web 2.0 Zoo - a menagerie of weird, funny and scary examples of our future - Peter Roll - Web 2.0 is being touted as the future direction for the computer industry. This presentation will cover what the term means complete with YouTube videos and cartoons. Come take a tour through some of the more interesting examples of animals in the Web 2.0 Zoo. It's the world in which our grandchildren will live.

It’s time to renew your membership in the Computer Club!

>Dues for 2008 will be $10 for the first member of the household; $5 for each additional member of the household.

>Anyone who renews in November or December, 2007, will be listed as “paid up” through December, 2008.

>New club members who join in November or December, 2007, will be listed as “paid up” through December, 2008.


We are trying to make it easy to renew or join:

>Come by the CyberCenter and ask a monitor to sign you up. (Please pay by check.)

>Come early to any Monday meeting to renew. (Bring your checkbook.)

>ON-line Membership Renewal Now Available for the first time!
Computer Club members may now renew their membership for 2008 on-line and pay their dues with a credit card or PayPal account. To avoid waiting in line and to save on gas, renew on-line by clicking here and following the instructions. A PayPal account is not needed to pay on-line with a credit card.

ANNUAL MEETING - LUNCHEON The SCTX Computer Club will hold its annual meeting on Monday January 14th at 11:30am in the Social Center Ballroom. The $10 per person tickets go on sale on Thurs. Nov 1st in the CyberCenter. They will also be sold at the Monday Meetings in the Ballroom.

The Computer Club is in the process of adding some long awaited features to our Access database - online registration both for joining/renewing membership and possibly for class enrollment. If you are interested in finding out what is going on behind the scenes with this project, the Computer Club can use and would appreciate your contributions. Nancy Strayer will present "Basics of eBay". This is an hour-long presentation, but it should get you "up and running" on the eBay site, if you go home and try it right away.
