Environment

- using the outdoors provides a beautiful and natural background for many portraits

Colors and Patterns

- yes to complimentary colors

- no to an assortment of patterns

-  balance colors and patterns

Shape

-  placing of people in symmetric shape can work

Children

- bare feet look cuter than big shoes on small feet

- many hands are busy
