By Yvonne Davenport
Add a Web Page to Your Favorites:
Internet Explorer makes it easy for you to return to a particular web page when you add the Web page link to your list of Favorites.
1. Go to the Web page you want to add to your Favorites
2. On the Favorites menu, Click Add to Favorites
3. In the Add Favorite box, type a new name for the page if you want, and click OK. IE proposes a perfectly good name, but you may want
want to give the page a different name.
Go to a Web Page on Your Favorites List:
On the Favorites menu, click the link to the Web page you want to visit. If
you've already organized Web pages into folders, on the Favorites menu,
first point to the folder of the page you want to visit, then click the link
to go to the page.
Track your Web Site Visits:
If you’ve forgotten to add a Web page to the Favorites list, IE records
where you’ve been in the history list -- today, yesterday, or even a couple of
Weeks ago. To take stock, click the history button on the IE toolbar at the
Top of the window.
Alphabetize Your Favorites:
If your list of Favorites gets unruly, you can put it in alphabetical order.
1. Right-click anywhere on the Favorites menu

IE may list folders first (if you have them), and then individual Web pages

Remove a Web Page from the Favorites List:
You may find that the link to a favorite Web page is broken and no longer takes you there. Or perhaps you just want to clean up your Favorites list.
Whatever the reason, it’s easy to remove a Web page from your Favorites list.

remove from the list
2. On the menu that opens, click Delete
Organizing Your Web Sites In Folders:
Eventually the Favorites list may become as unwieldy as the Web itself and you will want to establish your own file system that will make it easier for you to classify, store and retrieve your favorite sites by setting up a folder system. Not every Favorite needs to find a home in a special folder. Until or unless you have many Favorites recorded, you may find it just as easy to keep one alphabetical listing.
1. In IE, on the menu bar left-click on Favorites
2. Move down and left-click Organize Favorites
3. Click Create Folder in the left panel, this will create a folder in the
right panel waiting for you to give it a name. For example, “travel”
4. Type a name for the folder, then press ENTER
5. Now, one at a time, select a Favorite from the right panel that you
would like to move to the Travel Sites folder. Select the Move to
Folder button in the left panel. Select Travel Sites and click OK
Or you may drag the sites to the folder
6. Repeat steps 3 thru 5 above to create additional folders of your
choice and to file your remaining Favorites in to these folders
7. Once you have create the various folders of your choice and have
assigned each of your Favorites to the appropriate folder, then click
on close
